Randy and Kay bought their rare, all
original Starliner in 1978 from Randy's uncle in Great Falls, SC for $125. It was up on
cinder blocks at the time, but they've mostly restored it now, except for a few parts
they've been unable to find. It has a 292 cid Thunderbird V8 engine and a three speed on
the column straight drive. |

Les bought his 1977 Corvette from a school
teacher in 1983. In the mid-1990's he had it painted and the interior refurbished. Over
the years the crew at Williams Corvette Shop in Sumter has helped to keep it on the road,
plus, he says, from time to time Jean cleans out the carburetor for him. (Hey, do the
police know about that?) |

Davy has had this 1957 Chevy Bel-Air four
door sedan for about 3 years. It has a 350 small block Chevy motor with a Holley 650
double pumper carburetor with an Edelbrock intake. Additional features include front disc
brakes, a 700R4 automatic tranny with overdrive and an Extreme Flowmaster duel exhaust
system with ceramic coated headers. It is still in the restoring stages and he has just
recently completed the interior. |

John bought his '55 at a car show "a
few years ago." He's a big fan of all original cars and this one was as close to
original as he had ever seen. The car was built in Maryland in August of '55 and
originally sold in Virginia. He thinks he has tracked down the second owner, who bought it
used from a Chevy dealership in the mid 70s. The only things John has done to the
car is remove some small items that would not have been there in 1955 and added some that
were missing. |

In 2005, Tom had wanted a T-Bird for over
20 years. For two months he searched the internet, ebay, newspapers and local dealerships.
He was high bidder on ebay for several, but did not make the reserve. When he found this
one listed on ebay, a Merlot colored 2004 with the tan and black interior, he called the
dealer in the Atlanta area, made a deal and got the car on July 1, 2005. It was a year old
with only 9,600 miles on it. |

Bob & Linda bought this car in 2006
from Brian Darwas of "Atomic Hotrods," New York City, the Bronx. It's powered by
a Chevy 350 with a 350 automatic tranny. Though delivered with a Rochester 2-bbl carb, Bob
replaced the 2-bbl with a Holley 750 cfm 4-bbl in 2008. Bob also built the frame for the
top from scratch, and had the top stitched locally by "Country Cousins"
upholstery. |

Josh picked up his truck in North Carolina
about a year ago, all original. He mounted a shift light tachometer on the dash and
installed new tires and rims. He pulled the engine himself and had it rebuilt by a racing
engine shop. Among other things, the engine was bored 40 over and fitted with Mustang
Cobra GT40 heads, flat top pistons, hard push rods, aluminum roller rockers and a COMP
cam. And it sounds awesome! |

Bob bought his RS Z-28 Chevy Camaro in
1976, started the frame off restoration inside and out in 1990 and finished the car on
9/11/2001. He was in Ohio until 2004 when he drove it to Fort Myers, Florida and in 2007
he drove it to Florence where he was hoping to relocate. The 350 C.I.D. LT-1 engine sports
a hydraulic cam, hydraulic lifters, flat-top pistons, and hardened seats in the heads.
Bob's grandson, Jordan Barbarino, has been doing work on it with him. |

Ken and Sandra bought their 2005 Chevy
Corvette Convertible, with an LS2 engine (a 400 horsepower, 6.0-liter, small-block V-8),
in 2007 with only a little over 6,000 miles on it, one owner and still in warranty. They
found it through a dealer in Florida and had it shipped to them in Florence. Ken says he
bought it for Sandra... so he says. They drove it through the mountains once, but aside
from that, they seldom drive it and it still only has a little over 8,000 miles on it. |

Jean's "Techno Gray" 2008 Saturn
Sky Red Line with red and black interior is a classic sports car with classic sports car
running gear: rear-wheel drive, a fully independent suspension, powerful four-wheel disc
brakes, high-performance tires, and a double overhead-cam engine. The 260 HP turbocharged
engine is capable of 0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds and back to zero in just 116 feet. Jean pops
the top from time to time to get the cobwebs out of her head. |

Steve has had his rare 350 CID powered
Chevy Camaro Z28 with the Rally Option (R/S) for about a year. He saw it at the Run to the
Sun car show at Waccamaw Factory Shoppes in Myrtle Beach, and he later drove to Charleston
to buy it. Though it has been repainted, the color is the original Hugger Orange. It is
for sale, but he says he might trade... if you've got a '67 Chevelle. |

Joe bought his '68 Mustang locally a couple
of years ago. It sports a 289 C.I.D. motor with dual exhausts and automatic transmission.
In addition to new wheels and tires, Joe has had some body work done to it and has had it
repainted. Joe also owns a blue 1966 Mustang he bought recently that we hope to see more
of in the future. |

Tom's Cougar has been in his family since
around 1973. It's powered by a 351 Cleveland engine bored out .040, balanced and
blueprinted. It has a roller camshaft, a Holley 750 carb and an aluminum intake. The
original valve covers have been chromed along with some other pieces under the hood. The
C-6 transmission was also beefed up to be able to take the modifications to the engine.
Although it has been repainted, it was painted the original color, and the vinyl top is
the original top. |

Ray's black '82 Mustang GT is stock, except
for the engine and wheels. Purchased in 1986, Ray swapped the stock engine for a Ford
Windsor 351 cu in engine, way back in in 1991. In 2002 he replaced the 351 with the
awesome 525+ horsepower big block 406 cu in engine pictured at left. Hmmm, is a 427 next? |

Fords for 1941 were much more modern with a
wide body that nearly covered the running boards. The front and rear fenders were still
pronounced, but were now integrated more into the body and the headlights were pushed all
the way up and out over the front wheels. The 1941 grille was a three-part affair with a
tall center section bookended by twin kidneys low on the fenders and vertical bars all
around. The 1941 was a bigger car with a 194.3 in overall length. |

Les bought this car 2001, not running. It
took a couple of years to get it running good before spending 2 1/2 years at a friend's
body shop for floor pan work, body work and paint. It had mechanical problems for about a
year after that, but finally, a genius named Billy Morrow got it running like a top, and a
great fellow named Calvin Kelly did some nice dress up and clean up work under the hood
about a year ago. Les now hopes to have some interior work done and spruce up the inside a
little. |

Chris is in the process of installing a
2002 Chevy Corvette LS engine in his little S10. The LS engine is all aluminum and bears
little resemblance to the classic small-block V8 of yesteryear. A brand new engine design
for 1997, the LS has been the standard engine for the Chevrolet Corvette since then. This
truck ought to fly! We'll try to keep you posted on Chris' progress. |

A work-in-progress, Bob & Linda are
rebuilding and customizing this truck for their grandson, a dedicated truck-lover. He
wants it red with a black interior. Oh, and he's only 13 years old, so they (only) have 3
years to get the job done before he gets his license. And, according to Bob, at the rate
they're going, it's going to take every minute of the 3 years. |
